Konstantin Koltsov, a former Belarusian hockey player known for his contributions both on and off the ice, tragically passed away in Florida at the age of 42, as confirmed by Miami-Dade Police detective Argemis Colome on Tuesday. Authorities reported the death as an apparent suicide, ruling out foul play.

Konstantin Koltsov had been actively involved in the hockey community, serving as an assistant coach for Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) over the past two seasons. Dmitry Baskov, the coach of the Belarusian national team, expressed profound sadness at Koltsov’s untimely passing, describing it as an “irreparable loss.” Baskov praised Koltsov as a role model for his team, highlighting his leadership qualities, coaching talent, and dedication to the game.

During his playing career, Konstantin Koltsov competed primarily in the Russian Superleague, later transitioning into coaching after his tenure with Dynamo Minsk in the 2015-16 season.
